Linyanti Concession, Botswana

Situated in Northern Botswana bordering the Chobe National Park, the Linyanti Concessions stretch across the Kwando-Linyanti river system. They are known for their exotic animal species and luxury safari options. An abundance of wildlife roams freely between the woodland habitats, ancient floodplains and forests that make up these lush, unfenced reserves. The big game in this area increases dramatically during the dry season when the area hosts large herds of impala, blue wildebeest, giraffe and buffalo as well as the world’s highest density of elephant. Several packs of wild dog are found in the area and lion, leopard and cheetah are frequently sighted. Night drives allow for the discovery of nocturnal creatures such as civets, genets, honey badgers and spring hares. This vast, untamed wilderness is the perfect location for those seeking a unique African adventure in an exclusive and remote big game habitat.

Day 1

Day Notes:

When you land at Maun Airport, you will be met by a representative who will help you with the check-in for your flight to Linyanti Concession. Once you land at the local airstrip, you will be met by your guide and transferred to Linyanti Expeditions. After settling in, you can head out on a first shared afternoon game drive.

Southern Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe

Located in western Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park (formerly Wankie Game Reserve) is the largest natural reserve in the country and is famous for its rich diversity of wildlife. Home to one of the biggest elephant populations in the world, as well as around 100 mammal species, the park is popular among animal lovers. Several protected species inhabit the awe-inspiring open landscapes, including the endangered wild dog, critically endangered black rhino, and rare roan and sable - along with lion, cheetah, and around 500 bird species. Adventurers can look forward to guided bush hikes, game drives, and horse riding safaris, all of which offer excellent photographic opportunities.

Day 4

Day Notes:

After your last shared morning safari activity (time permitting) and breakfast, you will catch a light aircraft flight to the border town of Kasane. From here, you will be transferred by road across the border into Zimbabwe, to Victoria Falls Airport, where you will catch another light aircraft flight to Hwange National Park.

Once you arrive in Hwange, you can enjoy an afternoon game drive in your new surroundings (time permitting).

Located in northern Zimbabwe, the life-giving power of the Zambezi River makes Mana Pools National Park one of Zimbabwe’s most lush and flourishing regions. Characterised by a diversity of landscapes including floodplains, forests, and baobab trees, the park has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its natural beauty; providing a fantastic destination for photographers. It is an Important Bird Area and is also one of the continent’s premier game-viewing locations, known for its good chances of seeing elephants, wild dogs, lions, and leopards. Visitors can look forward to an array of activities such as canoe trips, guided walks, game drives, river cruises, nature walks, bird watching, and catch-and-release fishing.

After your last morning safari activity and breakfast in Hwange, you will be transferred back to the airstrip for your flight to Mana Pools. Once you land at Mana Pools, you will be met by your new guide who will take you to camp for your last 3 nights on safari. You will settle in at your new camp and then enjoy a shared afternoon safari activity.

Botswana photographic safari – Moremi, Khwai, Savuti, Chobe, Nxai Pan

Coming out of our life in our luxury UAE bubble to 1 vehicle for 2 weeks with 3 nationalities and 5 people/personalities, making this a rewarding exploration of Botswana could have been a challenge in itself.
Catering for individual needs in a group is a challenge that Christopher masters whilst at the same time multitasking as a patient driver, amazing chef & experienced field guide with us the guests helping pitch tents, prepping veg & doing the dishes.
Being in the lush green Okavango Delta with amazing campfire dinners to break the ice set the expectations for the game drives and camping in Moremi, Savuti, Chobe, Vic Falls and Nxai Pan.

We just returned to the States after a safari in Southern Africa and Botswana and I wanted to say how pleased we were with the camps we stayed in: Meno a Kwena, Mokolwane, and Hyena Pan. The camps and guides were incredibly knowledgeable, supportive and welcoming. We are nature lovers first and when our group had a safari vehicle to ourselves, the guides and camps were willing to make lunch for us and stay out all day.
