Pumba Water Lodge
Day 1 - 3
Pumba Private Game Reserve’s own Water Lodge perfectly balances an idyllic African safari and true 5-star luxury. Guests of the Water Lodge will be privy to unrivalled views over Lake Kariega, complemented by inviting hospitality and a warm atmosphere. All nestled within the malaria-free province of the Eastern Cape, guests can look forward to spotting the Big 5 (leopards, lions, elephants, buffaloes and rhinoceroses) as well as the free-roaming pride of magnificent White Lions, wild dogs, hyenas and cheetahs.
Day 1
Day Notes:
Make your way to Pumba Water Lodge to arrive by 2.00 pm, so you still have time to settle in before joining your first shared afternoon game drive. We can assist with a rental car if you are planning a more extensive journey, possibly along the Garden Route. Alternatively, we can arrange transfers from and back to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).

Day 2
Day Notes:
The morning game drive starts at sunrise. You will wake up before dawn for tea and coffee before the game drive starts. Then, you are off for 3 hours to find as many animals as possible before they all find trees to hide under in the heat of the day.
When the game drive returns to the lodge, you will be served a delicious hot breakfast and have time to relax. You can sit by the pool, read a book, take a nap and absorb being out in the bush.
After high tea, the afternoon game drive will start around 3:30–4:00 PM. It will last for +-3 hours, with a stop somewhere for sundowners. You will return to the lodge in the dark, with a spotlight to look for nocturnal animals.

South Africa – 6-day Eastern Cape Safari & Cape Town
Michele was wonderful to work with. She was patient with our large group while we changed dates and plans. She was able to guide us through the process and ultimately planned the BEST vacation for us. Every detail from transport, to celebrating my Mom's birthday at every turn, to accommodations, tours and more was clearly thought out! I would highly recommend Michele and Indigo Safaris! You will not be disappointed.
15-day Cape Town, Zimbabwe & Botswana Safari
I am a solo traveler, who was seeking a safe way to do some African safaris for the first time without a tour group. Indigo Safaris made suggestions and we created a trip based on my priorities. My accommodations in Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls and Botswana were unique, beautiful with good service and fabulous food! My guides were terrific. I literally felt like a princess, while at the lodges. When I needed assistance a couple of times, Indigo personnel were responsive to that.
I have travelled quite a lot, and this was one of the best trips I have taken. I believe that one of the strengths of Indigo Safaris is that the agents you work with are so experienced. They personally visit the destinations and accommodations before sending their clients there. So, for example, they knew, where I would see many elephants, which are my personal favorite wild animal, but fewer tourists.
I felt the cost of my trip was very fair and the trip cost included all of the land transfers and many of my meals. highly recommend Indigo Safaris for any sort of trip to Africa.

Indigo Safaris provided the ultimate safari experience. We saw the Big Five, stayed in incredible lodges, and made memories we will treasure forever.

Everything lived up to my expectations. The service was top notch and the tours were amazing (including many leopard sightings!). Highly recommended
