Day 1 - 4
Impodimo Game Lodge is set on a rocky ridge overlooking the vistas within the magnificent malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve of the North West Province of South Africa.
Day 1
Day Notes:
You will be transferred via road from Johannesburg to Impodimo. Once you arrive at the lodge, you will have time to settle in before heading on the first afternoon game drive.

Day 2 - 3
Day Notes:
The morning game drive starts at sunrise. You will wake up before dawn for tea and coffee before the game drive starts. Then, you are off for 3 hours to find as many animals as possible before they all find trees to hide under in the heat of the day.
When the game drive returns to the lodge, you will be served a delicious hot breakfast and have time to relax. You can sit by the pool, read a book, take a nap and absorb being out in the bush.
After high tea, the afternoon game drive will start around 3:30–4:00 PM. It will last for +-3 hours, with a stop somewhere for sundowners. You will return to the lodge in the dark, with a spotlight to look for nocturnal animals.

Indigo Safaris was amazing in organising us the perfect safari and seamless transfer from Johannesburg to Madikwe. Lindie was always so quick to respond and advise us so I'd definitely recommend booking through Indigo Safaris. In terms of our Safari, the team at the lodge, accommodation, food and safari drives and guides were absolutely fantastic and the whole experience was definitely a highlight of our trip!
South Africa: 19-day Cape Town, Garden Route & Madikwe Safari
This was my second trip through Indigo Safaris, after Papua New Guinea in August. It came about at the last minute as the coup in Madagascar cancelled a trip booked previously through another company. Christopher spring into action and put together a wonderful itinerary for a trip combining a self-drive along the Garden Route that was so much easier than I thought it would be, tours around Cape Town, and a safari to Madikwe before returning to the Cape.
The accommodations were excellent, and that was before we got an upgrade in Cape Town, the scenery so varied, and the wildlife stunning. I'm looking forward to seeing what can be put together for our next trip with more than one week's notice!

Booking a safari isn't easy when you start with a google search. i sent out emails to five companies. Indigo's response time and follow up, alongside suggestions, were the best by far. They seemed committed to want to listen to what i wanted, not just what they had to offer. Despite booking nine months in advance, I really appreciated being given an email a month before the holiday to reconfirm everything. It's the thoughtful, small things like this that I felt set them apart. I would very much recommend them. The lodge they suggested was excellent, and exactly what we were looking for.
Sabi Sand Private Kruger Reserve Safari
Indigo recommended several options for our trip, and we finally decided on Umkumbe Bush Lodge for our 3 night safari - it was an incredible unforgettable experience, the lodge itself was wonderful with great amenities, excellent food/drinks, and great tour guides. We saw all of the big 5 along with countless other wildlife, and I would highly recommend the whole experience.
