Jean 11-day Botswana & Victoria Falls Zimbabwe Value-For-Money Safari – Private fly-in
Matt at Indigo Safaris arranged a fantastic trip for us! He was so helpful; willing to investigate every crazy request and answer every question :)
We experienced a wide range of habitats, from delta to desert, and saw the Big 5 plus so much more. A highlight of the trip was something we’d never heard of until Matt suggested it - a night sleeping under the African sky on an open 2-story platform, alongside a waterhole visited by lions, elephants, and other wild creatures throughout the night. The stars were absolutely magical!
All the internal flights arrived like clockwork. We were delighted with the intimate “mid-range” camps we chose with Matt’s advice. Each of them was very comfortable, employed lovely staff, offered good food, and had prompt laundry service. One of the best features of our trip was having close-up encounters with elephants and other animals as they roamed through these small camps.
We followed up our adventure with a stay at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, and it was the perfect touch of luxury after our time in the bush.
We’ve enjoyed previous safaris in Tanzania, Kenya, and the Pantanal Wetlands of Brazil, and we were delighted that Matt and Indigo were able to provide such a totally different experience for us. Would love to work with them again someday!
Namibia – 9-Day Northern Circuit Adventure – Private Self-Drive
ndigo Safaris and Michele Addison delivered the best trip we could have imagined. Namibia was on our bucket list and clearly a step into the unknown. There are many travel companies offering tailored safari packages but from my initial enquiry Michele listened, advised & adjusted the itinerary to meet our needs. Michele then provisionally booked all the accommodation and vehicle rental - she was able to send a detailed PDF itinerary with insightful descriptions of key places to visit and accommodation. The plan worked like clockwork - starting and finishing at the same lovely guesthouse in Windhoek which was a nice way to round off the trip! Michele was always on hand via email and WhatsApp with rapid response to enquiries we made whilst travelling around. Namibia is an absolutely lovely country with so much to offer with wonderful people - we believe that Indigo Safaris and Michele's expert knowledge and advice helped maximise our trip around the country.
Tanzania – 10-day Selous & Ruaha Safari – Private Fly-in
For my first-time safari experience in Tanzania, I could not have chosen a more professional and yet friendly travel agent to work with. Ines Moosman with Indigo Safaris, covered all areas of fly-in safari life, and explained in detail every aspect of my travel requirements and experience. Ines also quickly responded to my questions, and explained how my choices would affect my travel--something that was particularly important for a first-time solo traveler. Thanks to Ines and Indigo Safari's efforts, it looks like I may be rearranging my future trips list, and taking a look at Botswana next after all.
Excellent game drives with knowledgeable guides in both Rufiji River Camp in Selous (Nyerere National Park ) and Ruaha River Lodge in Ruaha National Park. I can't say enough about the attentive camp managers, comfortable accommodations and exceptional food in both camps.
Timbavati Private Reserve, Greater Kruger, South Africa
Booking a safari isn't easy when you start with a google search. i sent out emails to five companies. Indigo's response time and follow up, alongside suggestions, were the best by far. They seemed committed to want to listen to what i wanted, not just what they had to offer. Despite booking nine months in advance, I really appreciated being given an email a month before the holiday to reconfirm everything. It's the thoughtful, small things like this that I felt set them apart. I would very much recommend them. The lodge they suggested was excellent, and exactly what we were looking for.
Zimbabwe & Botswana – 11-day Victoria Falls and Okavango Delta Experience – Private Fly-in
Meticulous organisation, great destinations, some innovation - without Indigo we would never have had allt he experiences.
Samantha Scott Classic Namibia Adventure – Private Self-drive
Our holiday was phenomenal and Michele was fabulous. Her attention to detail, responsiveness and understanding of what we wanted from the trip was fantastic, helping us with additional suggestions and ideas to make things even better.
Unfortunately we needed to postpone our holiday due to a family bereavement and she was so accommodating and adaptable with the changes, making sure every detail was perfect. We also experienced some initial difficulties when we arrived (nothing to do with Indigo Safaris?) and Michele was able to support us with some additional changes that needed to be made.
If you'd like a stress-free, amazing travel experience then Indigo Safaris is your place!
