Day 1 - 4
Nestled in the heart of the Okavango Delta, Xaoo Safari Camp is a haven for luxury and adventure enthusiasts. You will be met at Maun International Airport and transferred to Xaoo Safari Camp for your three-night stay.
After check-in, you can head out on your first shared afternoon game drive.

Mogogelo Camp
Day 4 - 7
Located in the beautiful Mogogelo valley in the private Sankuyo community concession Mogogelo Camp offers a classic bush camp experience. Game drives through the Umbrella thorn forests and open plains are complemented by the game viewing from the camp. The permanent waterhole in front of the camp draws wildlife across the plains close to camp offering the ultimate arm-chair safari experience. This wonderful location and exciting game viewing are complemented by comfortable spacious Meru tents with ensuite bathrooms with shaded front decks, a swimming pool, a fireside boma area, a lounge with various seating options and al fresco dining.
Day 4
Day Notes:
After your last shared morning game drive and breakfast, you will check out of Xaoo Safari Camp and then you will be transferred to Mogogelo Camp, located in a private concession bordering Moremi Game Reserve. This concession has a variety of landscapes, and is more open than the mopane woodland of Moremi. Being a private concession, walking, night drives, and off-track driving are possible.
After your check-in, head out on your first shared afternoon game drive.

Day 7 - 10
Camp Khwai is ideally situated on a picturesque bend of the Khwai River with an expansive view of the Khwai River floodplain and into Moremi Game Reserve offering breathtaking sunrises and views over the river as well as of wildlife along the river. The unique tents are spacious, comfortable, elegantly decorated and equipped with comfortable beds, fans, charging points, private bathrooms and decks. Guests can enjoy all meals at the on-site restaurant serving delectable local and international dishes or relax with a refreshing drink from the bar while enjoying the breathtaking views. Additional amenities and services include a swimming pool, Wi-Fi in the central area, day/night game drives in the Khwai community concession and walking safaris. Guests can enjoy a guided tour of the nearby village and explore Moremi Game Reserve, home to the Big Five and other incredible wildlife.
Day 7
Day Notes:
Enjoy your shared morning game drive and breakfast before you are transferred to the local airstrip to catch your helicopter flight to Khwai Airstrip. Upon landing at the airstrip, you will be transferred to Camp Khwai, where you will spend the next 3 nights on safari. After settling in, you will enjoy your first shared afternoon game drive.

Ines was very professional and patient with all the setbacks my family faced not only with COVID issues but also with finding dates and availability of our travelers. Dealing with airline cancellations and Covid testing was challenging even until departure. We could not have traveled so "easily" under the circumstances without her!

Botswana – 8-Day Buffalo Safari – Group camping
chose Indigo Safaris as I wanted to book with a local company who knew their stuff. Michele helped with the booking process and was very helpful, responding quickly to all my questions and quickly pinning down safari dates. The actual safari in Botswana was provided by Bush Ways, who were fantastic - the planning and execution of the camping and safaris was top rate and Evans and Kepapa were our exceptional guide and cook. The wildlife was unbelievable, far exceeding my expectations.
Spending our last night in the Pioneers Lodge, after 6 nights of wild camping among the lions, hippos and elephants, was the perfect finish to a very memorable trip.

Matt at Indigo Safaris arranged a fantastic trip for us! He was so helpful; willing to investigate every crazy request and answer every question :)
We experienced a wide range of habitats, from delta to desert, and saw the Big 5 plus so much more. A highlight of the trip was something we’d never heard of until Matt suggested it - a night sleeping under the African sky on an open 2-story platform, alongside a waterhole visited by lions, elephants, and other wild creatures throughout the night. The stars were absolutely magical!
All the internal flights arrived like clockwork. We were delighted with the intimate “mid-range” camps we chose with Matt’s advice. Each of them was very comfortable, employed lovely staff, offered good food, and had prompt laundry service. One of the best features of our trip was having close-up encounters with elephants and other animals as they roamed through these small camps.
We followed up our adventure with a stay at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, and it was the perfect touch of luxury after our time in the bush.
We’ve enjoyed previous safaris in Tanzania, Kenya, and the Pantanal Wetlands of Brazil, and we were delighted that Matt and Indigo were able to provide such a totally different experience for us. Would love to work with them again someday!

Coming out of our life in our luxury UAE bubble to 1 vehicle for 2 weeks with 3 nationalities and 5 people/personalities, making this a rewarding exploration of Botswana could have been a challenge in itself.
Catering for individual needs in a group is a challenge that Christopher masters whilst at the same time multitasking as a patient driver, amazing chef & experienced field guide with us the guests helping pitch tents, prepping veg & doing the dishes.
Being in the lush green Okavango Delta with amazing campfire dinners to break the ice set the expectations for the game drives and camping in Moremi, Savuti, Chobe, Vic Falls and Nxai Pan.
