Day 1 - 3
Nestled in the heart of the Okavango Delta, Xaoo Safari Camp is a haven for luxury and adventure enthusiasts. The camp boasts opulent accommodations perched majestically along the Santantadibe River, offering unparalleled views of the surrounding wilderness. The lush landscape provides a stunning backdrop for the camp, enhancing the sense of tranquility and connection with nature.
Day 1
Day Notes:
You will be met at Maun International Airport and transferred via road to Xaoo Safari Camp, where you will stay for the next two nights. Check in to camp and have lunch, and then relax a bit before you head out to enjoy your first afternoon shared game drive, after which you can enjoy a scrumptious dinner and then settle in for the night.

Day 3 - 5
Camp Khwai is ideally situated on a picturesque bend of the Khwai River with an expansive view of the Khwai River floodplain and into Moremi Game Reserve offering breathtaking sunrises and views over the river as well as of wildlife along the river. The unique tents are spacious, comfortable, elegantly decorated and equipped with comfortable beds, fans, charging points, private bathrooms and decks. Guests can enjoy all meals at the on-site restaurant serving delectable local and international dishes or relax with a refreshing drink from the bar while enjoying the breathtaking views. Additional amenities and services include a swimming pool, Wi-Fi in the central area, day/night game drives in the Khwai community concession and walking safaris. Guests can enjoy a guided tour of the nearby village and explore Moremi Game Reserve, home to the Big Five and other incredible wildlife.
Day 3
Day Notes:
Enjoy your shared morning game drive (time permitting) and breakfast before you are transferred to the local airstrip to catch your light aircraft flight to the Khwai Conservancy. Upon landing at the airstrip, you will be transferred to Camp Khwai, where you will spend the next 2 nights on safari. After settling in, you will enjoy your first shared afternoon game drive.

Day 5 - 8
Wildtrack Safaris Eco Lodge borders the Hwange National Park and is situated near the village of Pandamatenga and the Kazuma National Park. Botswana’s beautiful Chobe region is only an hour from the lodge, making it possible to explore the Chobe National Park and River. The lodge lives up to its name; it is our aim to minimise our impact on the environment. The entire lodge is solar-powered; all hot water is supplied by solar geysers, waste is recycled and effluent treated and returned to the environment safe and clean. Wildtrack Safaris Eco Lodge is a private and exclusive lodge comprising of eleven thatched luxury suites - one of which is both wheelchair friendly and family oriented. Each suite is uniquely styled and themed to reflect Africa's rich and diverse cultures, with extra-length King size beds appointed in crisp, white linen. The en-suite bathrooms with natural stone baths open out to private outdoor rain showers with panoramic views, allowing guests to experience the true spirit of Africa. Take time to relax on the lush tree-filled lawns, or cool off in our sparkling swimming pool - while sipping on a sundowner as the sun sets ablaze with colours. After a sumptuous, gourmet dinner, unwind at the boma overlooking a lit waterhole – or simply lie back whilst taking in the splendour of the Milky Way’s stars, as the exhilarating sounds of the African bush comes alive. Wildtrack Safari Eco Lodge has a range of activities on offer, which include morning and night game drives in open 4x4 game drive vehicles, guided bush walks, as well as interactive tours within the community of Pandamatenga - allowing guests the opportunity not only to observe, but also contribute towards ongoing community enrichment programs. Day trips to the Chobe National Park, Hwange National Park, the Okavango Delta and the Victoria Falls can be arranged whilst at the lodge.
Day 5
Day Notes:
Enjoy your shared morning game drive (time permitting) and breakfast before you are transferred back to the local airstrip to catch your light aircraft flight to Kasane Airport. Upon landing, you will be transferred to Wildtrack Safaris Eco Lodge or Jackalberry Chobe Lodge (dependent on the season), where you will spend the next 3 nights on safari. After settling in, you will enjoy your first shared afternoon safari activity.

From Wildtracks Eco Lodge you will go on morning and afternoon game drives in the very productive Kazuma area, which is an elephant corridor between Zimbabwe and Botswana. You will also enjoy a complimentary full-day Chobe safari, which includes a boat ride and a game drive.
The activities available from Jackalberry Camp are morning and afternoon game drives and cultural experiences.

Completely fabulous from start to finish
I chose Indigo Safaris as I wanted to book with a local company who knew their stuff. Michele helped with the booking process and was very helpful, responding quickly to all my questions and quickly pinning down safari dates. The actual safari was fantastic - the planning and execution of the camping and safaris was top rate and Evans and Kepapa were our exceptional guide and cook. The wildlife was unbelievable, far exceeding my expectations.
Spending our last night in the Pioneers Lodge, after 6 nights of wild camping among the lions, hippos and elephants, was the perfect finish to a very memorable trip.

Coming out of our life in our luxury UAE bubble to 1 vehicle for 2 weeks with 3 nationalities and 5 people/personalities, making this a rewarding exploration of Botswana could have been a challenge in itself.
Catering for individual needs in a group is a challenge that Christopher masters whilst at the same time multitasking as a patient driver, amazing chef & experienced field guide with us the guests helping pitch tents, prepping veg & doing the dishes.
Being in the lush green Okavango Delta with amazing campfire dinners to break the ice set the expectations for the game drives and camping in Moremi, Savuti, Chobe, Vic Falls and Nxai Pan.
