Mmatsebe Tented Camp
Day 1 - 5
MmaTsebe is an owner-run camp set on 25 hectares of private land along the Mbudi River, a tributary of the Khwai. Bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, the camp enjoys a peaceful setting away from central Khwai’s high-season hustle, yet access to iconic wildlife areas, with game drives traversing both Moremi and the Khwai Concession. 20-minutes drive from Khwai Airstrip the camp offers a relaxed, character-rich setting with sweeping views.
Day 1
Day Notes:
Upon arrival in Maun, you will catch a light aircraft flight to the Khwai Conservancy. Once you arrive at the local airstrip, you will be met and transported via road to MmaTsebe Tented Camp, where you will experience your first shared afternoon game drive.

Day 5 - 7
Surrounded by lush gardens and manicured lawns, this 50-room lodge offers plenty of space, comfort, and charm. Each room is tastefully decorated in a classic style and overlooks the gardens, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

Day Notes:
After your last shared morning game drive (time permitting) and breakfast, you will be transferred back to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Kasane Airport. Once you land, you will be met and transferred to Pioneers in Victoria Falls. Once you arrive there, settle in and then spend your afternoon at leisure.

Day Notes:
You will have a free day to explore Victoria Falls. Your lodge runs complimentary shuttles between the hotel and the Falls and main town. It is US$50pp entrance to see the Falls and you are free to wander around yourselves.

Ines was very professional and patient with all the setbacks my family faced not only with COVID issues but also with finding dates and availability of our travelers. Dealing with airline cancellations and Covid testing was challenging even until departure. We could not have traveled so "easily" under the circumstances without her!

Catering for individual needs in a group is a challenge that Christopher masters whilst at the same time multitasking as a patient driver, amazing chef & experienced field guide with us the guests helping pitch tents, prepping veg & doing the dishes.
Being in the lush green Okavango Delta with amazing campfire dinners to break the ice set the expectations for the game drives and camping in Moremi, Savuti, Chobe, Vic Falls and Nxai Pan.

Matt at Indigo Safaris arranged a fantastic trip for us! He was so helpful; willing to investigate every crazy request and answer every question :)
We experienced a wide range of habitats, from delta to desert, and saw the Big 5 plus so much more. A highlight of the trip was something we’d never heard of until Matt suggested it - a night sleeping under the African sky on an open 2-story platform, alongside a waterhole visited by lions, elephants, and other wild creatures throughout the night. The stars were absolutely magical!
All the internal flights arrived like clockwork. We were delighted with the intimate “mid-range” camps we chose with Matt’s advice. Each of them was very comfortable, employed lovely staff, offered good food, and had prompt laundry service. One of the best features of our trip was having close-up encounters with elephants and other animals as they roamed through these small camps.
We followed up our adventure with a stay at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, and it was the perfect touch of luxury after our time in the bush.
We’ve enjoyed previous safaris in Tanzania, Kenya, and the Pantanal Wetlands of Brazil, and we were delighted that Matt and Indigo were able to provide such a totally different experience for us. Would love to work with them again someday!
