Day 1 - 5
Simbavati River Lodge enjoys a unique setting on the banks of the Kruger Park’s Nhlaralumi River in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve.
Day 1
Day Notes:
Upon arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, you will be met for your road transfer to Simbavati River Lodge, where you will stay in a luxury tented suite. Once you arrive at the lodge, check-in, and then enjoy high tea before setting out on your first shared afternoon game drive to begin your search for the animals, including the Big Five.
Transfers from other airports, such as Nelspruit, Phalaborwa, and Johannesburg, can also be arranged at an additional cost.

Shared afternoon game drive
Day 2 - 4
Day Notes:
The morning game drive starts at sunrise. You will wake up before dawn for tea and coffee before the game drive starts. Then, you are off for 3 hours to find as many animals as possible before they all find trees to hide under in the heat of the day.
When the game drive returns to the lodge, you will be served a delicious hot breakfast and have time to relax. You can sit by the pool, read a book, take a nap and absorb being out in the bush.
After high tea, the afternoon game drive will start around 3:30–4:00 PM. It will last for +-3 hours, with a stop somewhere for sundowners. You will return to the lodge in the dark, with a spotlight to look for nocturnal animals.

Day 5 - 9
Flanking a large dam in the southern Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, Simbavati Waterside is a seamless extension of the pristine wilderness that inspires it. Set against a backdrop of untamed beauty, this exclusive lodge offers an immersive safari experience where water is the heartbeat of life. Throughout the year, a variety of wildlife, from elephants and buffalo to predators and hippos, gather at the dam, creating a dynamic and ever-changing game viewing spectacle.
Day 5
Day Notes:
After your shared morning game drive and a delicious breakfast, you will check out of Simbavati River Lodge, and then you will be transferred by road to Simbavati Waterside Lodge, where you will spend your next 4 nights on safari.
Once you arrive at the lodge, settle in, and enjoy lunch or high tea before setting out on your first shared afternoon game drive to begin your search for the animals in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve.

Day 6 - 8
Day Notes:
The day begins with a sunrise game drive. You'll start early with tea and coffee before heading out for about three hours to spot wildlife before the day heats up.
On returning to the lodge, enjoy a hearty breakfast and time to unwind—relax by the pool, read, nap, or simply take in the bush surroundings.
In the afternoon, after high tea, the next game drive departs around 3:30–4:00 PM. This three-hour adventure includes a stop for sundowners and concludes after dark, using a spotlight to seek nocturnal animals.
On Day 6 or Day 7 - SHILOPE SLEEPOUT DECK EXPERIENCE:
Before sunset, your guide will escort you to the Shilope Sleepout Deck for a truly unique wilderness experience. After a quick briefing on the two-way radio, you'll settle into your private retreat, complete with a king-sized bed, a lookout deck, and a picnic-style dinner with drinks of your choice.
Illuminated by solar lanterns, the deck offers breathtaking views of the Klaserie Reserve, where you'll enjoy the sunset, fall asleep to nocturnal bush sounds, and wake to birdsong and sunrise. With an en-suite shower and hot water, your comfort is assured.
Morning coffee, tea, and rusks can be savored from your bed before your guide collects you for a delicious lodge breakfast.
