Formerly the northern part of Selous Game Reserve, Nyerere National Park is Tanzania's largest National Park. Stretching over an impressive 30,893 square kilometres, the park is home to some of the world’s largest concentrations of wildlife, and the incredible diversity and sheer volume of animals draw visitors from around the globe. Travellers can look forward to spotting a wide collection of common and rare species including the famous Big Five, some rare species of antelopes like Roan Antelope, and large concentrations of elephant and hippos.     Day 1 - 4

    Selous Kinga Lodge is located next to the Rufiji River just outside of Nyerere National Park in Tanzania. The lodge features comfortably furnished cottages that are equipped with modern amenities, including Wi-Fi access, air conditioning, a hairdryer, and a private bathroom. Guests can enjoy food options, made from locally sourced ingredients, from the onsite restaurant's continental menu. Additional facilities and services include a garden, a swimming pool, and a 24/7 reception staff.

Day 1

Day Notes:

Board your flight in Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar to the local airstrip in Nyerere National Park (ex Selous Game Reserve). When you land, you will be met by your guide and transferred to Kinga Camp. After checking in, head out on a full-day game drive with a packed lunch.

Day 2

Day Notes:

After breakfast, you will head out on a shared full-day game drive including a visit to the Chemka Hot Springs. The Chemka Hot Springs, are a natural geothermal oasis!

Day 3

Day Notes:

After breakfast, you will head out on a bush walk to get closer to nature and learn about the smaller things which make up the Nyerere ecosystem. You will also enjoy a sunset boat safari in the late afternoon where you have the chance to to see aquatic wildlife like hippos, crocodiles, lots of birds and also big game that comes to drink at the river banks.
