Day 1 - 4
The beauty of the Timbavati Game Reserve is unfenced and open, waiting to be discovered. Kambaku River Sands is a place of sanctuary for Africa’s Big 5: the leopard, lion, rhinoceros, elephant and buffalo and more. Our game rangers are seasoned experts and will furnish you with all the information you need as you encounter indigenous wildlife thriving in their natural habitat. Their home will become yours.
Day 1
Day Notes:
Upon arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, you will be met for your road transfer to Kambaku Rive Sands Lodge in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. Once you arrive at the lodge, check-in, before setting out on your first shared afternoon game drive to begin your search for the animals, including the Big Five.

Day 2 - 3
Day Notes:
The morning game drive starts at sunrise. You will be woken up before sunrise for tea and coffee before the game drive starts. Then you are off for 3 hours to find as many animals as possible before they all find trees to hide under in the heat of the day.
When the game drive returns to the lodge, you will be served a big cooked breakfast and have time to relax. You can sit by the pool, read a book, take a nap and just absorb being out in the bush. If you prefer an activity-filled day, guided bush walks are on offer.
After high tea, the afternoon game drive will start and then you will return to the lodge for dinner.

Booking a safari isn't easy when you start with a google search. i sent out emails to five companies. Indigo's response time and follow up, alongside suggestions, were the best by far. They seemed committed to want to listen to what i wanted, not just what they had to offer. Despite booking nine months in advance, I really appreciated being given an email a month before the holiday to reconfirm everything. It's the thoughtful, small things like this that I felt set them apart. I would very much recommend them. The lodge they suggested was excellent, and exactly what we were looking for.
