This small volcanic island located in the Pacific 240 kilometres (150 miles) off the west coast of Mexico's Baja California peninsula outperforms both South Africa and Australia with shark-seeing consistency and watching conditions. Only Guadalupe Island can boast shark viewing in 40-metre visibility and the bay where submersible cage diving operations take place has a population of 94 great white sharks, guaranteeing unforgettable encounters. Unfortunately, the Mexican government has stopped issuing permits for this.
