Tau Pan
Day 1 - 3
The dramatic desert of legend and home of the San. Tau Pan Camp was the first lodging welcomed to the famous Central Kalahari Game Reserve and an unprecedented opportunity to establish camp in one of the world's largest pristine wildernesses. It occupies unrivalled placement high on a dune ridge, overlooking a waterhole and game-rich plains. The vistas are magnificent — vast skies, tremendous savannah — and the camp design takes every opportunity to exploit this location. The main area includes an open bar, lounge and dining areas all set around the fireplace, which is the ideal spot for spotting game at the waterhole. 'Tau' means lion in Setswana and the pan is so named for its pride of iconic black-maned Kalahari lions, who are frequent visitors to the camp. Discover the land of the lion through ancient San eyes. Also known as the Bushmen in Botswana, indigenous trackers provide life-giving insights on surviving in this harsh paradise during a spellbinding nature walk. When you enter this world as a student, it ensures the conservation of their fast-vanishing San culture. Stargazing is astonishing in this remote location and best experienced with a night below the Milky Way on the sleepout deck.

Moremi Crossing
Day 3 - 6
Slow down and smell the wild sage at Moremi Crossing Camp. Whether stealthily tracking wildlife on foot or silently moving through the Okavango Delta's waterways on a mokoro, time slows down in the Gunn's Private Concession. With its location across from the famous Chief's Island, this traditional walking and water-based camp now offers game drives. Moremi Crossing is also an excellent option for big groups. Seasonal game drives provide front-row seats to the wildlife, but with an abundance of postcard-perfect lagoons and floodplains, nature walks, and water-based explorations are the Moremi Crossing forte. Stretch your legs on a guided nature walk that transforms your safari into a sensory experience. You'll learn to track, understand medicinal plant uses and so much more by roaming between lofty termite mounds to gain perspective over the landscape (much like a cheetah). You can also go on an immersive camping experience overnight in the wild for an extra dose of adventure. Fitting seamlessly into the island's riverine forest of magnificent palms and ancient trees with views of the Boro River, Moremi Crossing is sociable with a simple, back-to-basics approach. Accommodation consists of 16 en suite and spacious tents on raised decks, each with a veranda. These include a Family Tent and a Honeymoon Tent.
Day 3
Day Notes:
Depending on the departure time for your next light aircraft flight, you will be able to experience another shared morning safari activity in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. After breakfast, you will be taken back to the local airstrip for your onward light aircraft flight to the Moremi Game Reserve. You will be welcomed at the airstrip and taken to Moremi Crossing Camp. Settle in and have lunch before joining your first shared afternoon safari activity.

Lagoon
Day 6 - 8
Lagoon Camp sits gracefully on the shaded banks of the Kwando River, nestled among towering ebony and marula trees. This densely forested site hosts a diverse range of birds and mammals. Such breathtaking scenery and close proximity to wildlife create a serene camp atmosphere. With a well-earned reputation for big game, this area is renowned for its seasonal large herds of elephants and buffalo. In the winter, herds of up to a thousand are commonplace, and the riverbank is a popular spot for large numbers of elephants to gather in full view of the main camp deck.
Day 6
Day Notes:
Enjoy your last shared morning safari activity (time permitting), and breakfast in the Okavango Delta before flying to the Kwando Private Reserve. You will be met by your new guide and taken to Lagoon Camp. Settle in and enjoy a shared afternoon game drive.

Botswana & Zimbabwe – 11-day Eagle Safari – Group Tour
Trip was amazing, everything we were hoping it would be. The guides and staff were very friendly and accomodating. We had incredible wildlife sightings and enjoyed a great group of people.
Botswana explorer safari
From the very beginning, Indigo Safari made every effort to adapt our travel plans to our budget. Despite our many requests and a limited budget, we worked together to create a perfect trip to Botswana. Once we arrived, everything went as planned, and we were able to enjoy our vacation stress-free.

Botswana photographic safari – Moremi, Khwai, Savuti, Chobe, Nxai Pan
Coming out of our life in our luxury UAE bubble to 1 vehicle for 2 weeks with 3 nationalities and 5 people/personalities, making this a rewarding exploration of Botswana could have been a challenge in itself.
Catering for individual needs in a group is a challenge that Christopher masters whilst at the same time multitasking as a patient driver, amazing chef & experienced field guide with us the guests helping pitch tents, prepping veg & doing the dishes.
Being in the lush green Okavango Delta with amazing campfire dinners to break the ice set the expectations for the game drives and camping in Moremi, Savuti, Chobe, Vic Falls and Nxai Pan.
15-day Cape Town, Zimbabwe & Botswana Safari
I am a solo traveler, who was seeking a safe way to do some African safaris for the first time without a tour group. Indigo Safaris made suggestions and we created a trip based on my priorities. My accommodations in Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls and Botswana were unique, beautiful with good service and fabulous food! My guides were terrific. I literally felt like a princess, while at the lodges. When I needed assistance a couple of times, Indigo personnel were responsive to that.
I have travelled quite a lot, and this was one of the best trips I have taken. I believe that one of the strengths of Indigo Safaris is that the agents you work with are so experienced. They personally visit the destinations and accommodations before sending their clients there. So, for example, they knew, where I would see many elephants, which are my personal favorite wild animal, but fewer tourists.
I felt the cost of my trip was very fair and the trip cost included all of the land transfers and many of my meals. highly recommend Indigo Safaris for any sort of trip to Africa.
Jean 11-day Botswana & Victoria Falls Zimbabwe Value-For-Money Safari – Private fly-in
Matt at Indigo Safaris arranged a fantastic trip for us! He was so helpful; willing to investigate every crazy request and answer every question :)
We experienced a wide range of habitats, from delta to desert, and saw the Big 5 plus so much more. A highlight of the trip was something we’d never heard of until Matt suggested it - a night sleeping under the African sky on an open 2-story platform, alongside a waterhole visited by lions, elephants, and other wild creatures throughout the night. The stars were absolutely magical!
All the internal flights arrived like clockwork. We were delighted with the intimate “mid-range” camps we chose with Matt’s advice. Each of them was very comfortable, employed lovely staff, offered good food, and had prompt laundry service. One of the best features of our trip was having close-up encounters with elephants and other animals as they roamed through these small camps.
We followed up our adventure with a stay at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, and it was the perfect touch of luxury after our time in the bush.
We’ve enjoyed previous safaris in Tanzania, Kenya, and the Pantanal Wetlands of Brazil, and we were delighted that Matt and Indigo were able to provide such a totally different experience for us. Would love to work with them again someday!
