Day 1 - 4
Hyena Pan is situated in a 200 000 hectare private conservancy, Khwai Private Reserve. It falls within the Okavango Delta World Heritage Site, and borders Moremi Game Reserve, the Khwai River and Chobe National Park.
Day 1
Day Notes:
On arrival in Maun, you will be met for your light aircraft flight to the local airstrip in Khwai. A representative from Elephant Pan will meet you at the airstrip, and then you will be transferred to the lodge.
After settling in, enjoy your first shared afternoon game drive through the 200,000-hectare private concession, before settling down for dinner at camp.

Day 2 - 3
Day Notes:
Early morning wake up to set out on a game drive, returning to camp for breakfast.
During your stay, you may choose to join guided walks in between your morning and afternoon drives. At camp, delight in the awesome views and photographic opportunities of the ground-level hide alongside the waterhole.

Mokolwane
Day 4 - 7
Situated on the Matsebi River, Mokolwane camp is made up of tree houses 2 metres off the ground. A real haven for elephants that love the palm trees of this area. This camp is situated in the open flood plains that receive floodwater 3 weeks earlier than the southern areas of the concession. The vegetation consists of smaller palm islands and wide-open spaces.

Day Notes:
After a shared morning game drive and a delicious breakfast, you will check out of Elephant Pan, and head out on the adventurous journey to Mokolwane - a camp accessible only by helicopter!
Delight in the bird's-eye view from above before touching down at Mokolwane. After settling in, you will enjoy a shared afternoon game drive, followed by a delectable dinner.

Day Notes:
Enjoy morning and afternoon into evening game drives exploring the beautiful yet diverse ecosystems, winding your way along crystal clear lagoons and channels, reeded islands and fertile floodplains, looking for predators and other wildlife wonders.
Relax on your shady tent deck, coffee and binoculars in hand, looking for spectacular sightings that come close to camp. Keep an eye out for spectacular birdlife, abundant in the Okavango Delta.

Ines was very professional and patient with all the setbacks my family faced not only with COVID issues but also with finding dates and availability of our travelers. Dealing with airline cancellations and Covid testing was challenging even until departure. We could not have traveled so "easily" under the circumstances without her!

Coming out of our life in our luxury UAE bubble to 1 vehicle for 2 weeks with 3 nationalities and 5 people/personalities, making this a rewarding exploration of Botswana could have been a challenge in itself.
Catering for individual needs in a group is a challenge that Christopher masters whilst at the same time multitasking as a patient driver, amazing chef & experienced field guide with us the guests helping pitch tents, prepping veg & doing the dishes.
Being in the lush green Okavango Delta with amazing campfire dinners to break the ice set the expectations for the game drives and camping in Moremi, Savuti, Chobe, Vic Falls and Nxai Pan.
Sabi Sand, Botswana, and Zimbabwe Safari
Our tour was booked through Indigo Safaris and Christopher Bartlett. Every connection his company made for us was perfect and went off without a problem as we started in South Africa at Sabi Sands and traveled through Zimbabwe before arriving in Botswana. We highly, highly recommend Indigo Safaris.
