Mara North Conservancy, Kenya

Situated in southwest Kenya, the Mara North Conservancy is a beautiful private wilderness area spanning more than 30 000 hectares. It is home to a spectacular array of plants, reptiles, birds and mammals; including elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and large concentrations of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and other migratory wildlife. Leopard Gorge, in the heart of the conservancy, is famous as the setting of countless BBC Big Cat Diaries and National Geographic documentaries. Neighbouring the well-known Maasai Mara National Reserve, this conservancy is vital for sustaining the famous Serengeti wildebeest migrations as well as the endangered African wild dog and black rhino.

    Day 1 - 5

    Kandili Camp is located within the Leopard Gorge Conservancy, in the heart of the Maasai Mara, Kenya. The campsite offers 11 classic safari tents and suites with en-suite bathrooms and comfortable beds. Guests can enjoy delicious Mediterranean-inspired cuisine prepared by talented chefs. Facilities include a dining area, a lounge, a library, and a bar.

Day 1

Day Notes:

You will catch a light aircraft flight from Wilson Airport to Mara North Conservancy.  After arrival at the local airstrip, your guide will be waiting to fetch you and take you to camp, where you will spend the next 4 nights on safari. After checking in, enjoy your welcome drink and then you can head out on your first shared afternoon game drive.

Flight Time: ~45 minutes

*Park entry fees for game drives into the Maasai Mara National Reserve are not included. Park fees of US$ 100 - $200 per person have to be paid, depending on the season.
