Located in eastern Madagascar in the Moramanga District, the small village of Andasibe is surrounded by a belt of protected rainforest and several parks boasting incredible natural scenery and an array of exotic Madagascan wildlife. It serves as an excellent base from which to explore the spectacularly scenic surrounds. Visitors can look forward to discovering the natural wonders of the nearby Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, Analamazaotra Reserve and Perinet Special Reserve. Don't miss the opportunity to hear the unique song of the large indri lemur, explore a network of incredible trails that wind past glistening lakes and magnificent waterfalls and discover the rich biodiversity in the local flora and fauna.

    Day 1 - 4

    Relais de Mantadia is located in Andasibe, Madagascar, only five minutes from the National Park Analamazaotra and some private parks. The accommodation offers spacious guestrooms with modern amenities, including safes, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, welcoming products, free mini-bars, tea, coffee and kettles. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at the on-site restaurant. Other amenities include a bar and a wellness spa.

Day 1

Day Notes:

You will be met at Antananarivo airport and taken to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, where you will stay for 3 nights at Relais de Mantadia, to get a short insight of Madagascar's endemic wildlife. The drive only takes about 3 hours 40 min. Settle-in and then you will take an afternoon guided hike in Mitsinjo Forest. After returning, enjoy the scenery before your nocturnal tour in the evening.

Driving time: ~4-5 hours

Day 2

Day Notes:

After breakfast, head into Anamalazotra Reserve, the more visited part of the Andasibe-Mantadia Resreve. Enjoy the walk along the wooden walkways and look out for the 9 lemur species that can be found here.

After a rest back at the lodge, enjoy an evening hike in the VO community forest.

Day 3

Day Notes:

Today you will take a day trip to Mantadia. Enjoy a full-day visit to the national park of Mantadia, a park more authentic than Anamalazoatra. Here, there are no walkways; have sturdy shoes ready for a slightly 'wilder' experience.

Head back to the lodge, and after dark, experience another night hike before dinner.
