Motswiri Private Safari Lodge is situated in the western side of the 75 000 hectare, Big Five, malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve in the North West Province.
Day 1
Day Notes:
You will be collected from Johannesburg for your road transfer to Madikwe Game Reserve. Once you arrive at Motswiri Private Safari Lodge, you will settle in before heading out on your first shared afternoon game drive.

Day 2 - 3
Day Notes:
You will enjoy a shared early morning game drive in an open game viewer accompanied by a qualified game ranger. After your adventure, you will come back to the lodge and have a cooked breakfast.
After breakfast, you can relax with a book on a pool lounger, sit by the waterhole, or go for a wellness treatment (treatments are at an additional cost).
In the afternoon, you will go on a shared game drive, and then come back to the lodge for dinner.

In terms of our Safari, the team at the lodge, accommodation, food and safari drives and guides were absolutely fantastic and the whole experience was definitely a highlight of our trip!
South Africa: 19-day Cape Town, Garden Route & Madikwe Safari
This was my second trip through Indigo Safaris, after Papua New Guinea in August. It came about at the last minute as the coup in Madagascar cancelled a trip booked previously through another company. Christopher spring into action and put together a wonderful itinerary for a trip combining a self-drive along the Garden Route that was so much easier than I thought it would be, tours around Cape Town, and a safari to Madikwe before returning to the Cape.
The accommodations were excellent, and that was before we got an upgrade in Cape Town, the scenery so varied, and the wildlife stunning. I'm looking forward to seeing what can be put together for our next trip with more than one week's notice!

Excellent recommendations for an unforgettable trip
Indigo recommended several options for our trip, and we finally decided on Umkumbe Bush Lodge for our 3 night safari - it was an incredible unforgettable experience, the lodge itself was wonderful with great amenities, excellent food/drinks, and great tour guides. We saw all of the big 5 along with countless other wildlife, and I would highly recommend the whole experience.

Manyeleti Game Reserve perfect stay
We stayed at the Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp in the Manyeleti Game Reserve which boarders without a fence to Kruger National Park. The location, camp and accommodations were superb. Michele, our Safari consultant did an outstanding job on understanding what we wanted. Her service and our Safari were perfect 10's!!
