Day 1 - 4
Tucked under a canopy of mopane and tamboti trees, andBeyond Ngala Safari Lodge boasts 21 classic thatched Cottages, including a spacious Family Villa. Each ensuite Cottage, with private veranda, exudes a romantic colonial ambiance with nostalgic safari memorabilia throughout. The gracious Family Villa accommodates six guests and includes a private swimming pool and the use of a private vehicle. The Lodge’s sparkling swimming pool and sundeck overlook a natural riverine woodland, ideal for avid birdwatchers. Hearty breakfasts and delicious lunches are served in the dappled shade of an enormous weeping boerbean tree. Upon their return from exhilarating evening drives, guests are welcomed by Ngala’s warm, hospitable staff and a banquet set in the elegant candlelit courtyard or an African feast in the open-air traditional boma. The Lodge’s spacious thatched bar, dining and sitting areas are open to the warm breezes of the inviting African bushveld.

You will be met and transferred by road from Hoedspruit Airport to Ngala Safari Lodge in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve where you will stay for 3 nights. Settle in and then join your first shared afternoon game drive.

Shared afternoon game drive
Day 2 - 3
Day Notes:
The morning game drive starts at sunrise. You will be woken up before sunrise for tea and coffee before the game drive starts. Then you are off for 3 hours to find as many animals as possible before they all find trees to hide under in the heat of the day.
When the game drive returns to the lodge, you will be served a big cooked breakfast and have time to relax. You can sit by the pool, read a book, take a nap and just absorb being out in the bush.
The afternoon game drive will start around 16:00, after high tea. It will last for +-3 hours, with a stop somewhere for sundowners. You will return to the lodge in the dark, with a spotlight to look for nocturnal animals

Booking a safari isn't easy when you start with a google search. i sent out emails to five companies. Indigo's response time and follow up, alongside suggestions, were the best by far. They seemed committed to want to listen to what i wanted, not just what they had to offer. Despite booking nine months in advance, I really appreciated being given an email a month before the holiday to reconfirm everything. It's the thoughtful, small things like this that I felt set them apart. I would very much recommend them. The lodge they suggested was excellent, and exactly what we were looking for.

We stayed at the Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp in the Manyeleti Game Reserve which boarders without a fence to Kruger National Park. The location, camp and accommodations were superb. Michele, our Safari consultant did an outstanding job on understanding what we wanted. Her service and our Safari were perfect 10's!!
Sabi Sand Private Kruger Reserve Safari
Indigo recommended several options for our trip, and we finally decided on Umkumbe Bush Lodge for our 3 night safari - it was an incredible unforgettable experience, the lodge itself was wonderful with great amenities, excellent food/drinks, and great tour guides. We saw all of the big 5 along with countless other wildlife, and I would highly recommend the whole experience.
