Tafika Camp
Day 1 - 4
Tafika Camp is situated in the northern part of the Nsefu Sector of the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. It is the base camp for Remote Africa Safaris, a family-run safari operation with a collection of extremely high-quality bush camps. -
Chikoko Tree Camp
Day 4 - 6
Chikoko Tree Camp is situated 8km upstream from Tafika. Here three chalets are raised above the ground ensuring that they sit, rather romantically, within the surrounding tree canopies. The ground floor is the bathroom and changing area and stairs alongside the chalet lead up to the bedroom area perched on the raised platform.

Day 5
Day Notes:
Chikoko Tree Camp offers unparalleled walking safaris, being immersed in the idyll of remotest Africa. On foot, the minutiae of the bush come to the fore: the smells, the essence of the macro world, and a sense of timelessness. On foot, the biggest herbivores become gentle giants as giraffes and elephants tower over you, and the buffalo are now at eye level. The Luangwa's predators now become the prey as you track lion prints from the night before. It is the realness of the experience, that dash of adrenaline associated with standing downwind of an elephant and catching its unmistakable scent, that makes walking safaris unforgettable.

12-day Authentic Botswana, Zambia, and Victoria Falls Safari
The trip overall was wonderful.
Xaoo Camp which was our first stop was really nice. The staff were all lovely and our driver was great. We saw SO MANY ANIMALS here. Like almost every animal in one day. So we really enjoyed that.
The helicopter transit from there to Khwai was SUPER convenient and awesome. Plus it was like an included flight seeing tour, as we saw a lot of nice scenery and animals from the chopper.
Khwai Camp - a young leopard was the highlight. Also due to the flooding (which you did previously warn us about) we had to take a mokoro to and from the vehicles each time we left and came back to the camp. Not ideal but it wasn't their fault. No fence here so escort needed to and from the rooms in the dark as lions were active in the camp.
Wild Track was a super gorgeous lodge and Tracey and her team were lovely. Outstanding food.
The transfers across the land borders into Zimbabwe and into Zambia were both seamless and efficient. We were very impressed with that.
Pioneers Lodge in Vic Falls was gorgeous as well, much better than we expected. Not too much to say about that, we just had a wonderful time there.
Lion Camp was AMAZING. It is no wonder these guys have all these best lodge in Zambia awards. Vicky and Wayne were lovely and really care about their camp and guests. Everything about this place was perfect and exactly what an African safari should be like.
Overall we were super happy with the whole trip and I will be referring any of my family and friends to you who are looking to book a trip to Africa. Hopefully we will be doing more in the future as well.
Thanks again for a wonderful time.
Zambia – South Luangwa and Livingstone
I had such a great time on this trip. The South Luangwa wildlife is stunning, and Victoria Falls so impressive. Indigo Safaris organised a perfect tour.
South Laungwa Safari, Zambia
What a wonderful country and people, and the wildlife is stunning. Chris set up a great tour to South Luangwa national park, and topped it off with two memorable days at Victoria Falls.
