Why Visit Windhoek?

If you do find yourself with some time on your hands in Windhoek and want to learn about the history and culture of the country, then we recommend a township tour or a visit to the Naankuse Foundation. Naankuse is a conservation charity dedicated to protecting the wildlife, culture and landscape of Namibia. Located an hour outside of Windhoek is the Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary. The foundation provides a second chance to injured, orphaned or conflict animals, with the aim of re-introducing them to the wild. You can stay at Naankuse Lodge and participate in one of the many different activities they have on offer, such as the Carnivore Feeding Tour, a visit to a traditional San Bushmen village, Cheetah Walks and horse riding through the reserve.
